Our Los Angeles Open House is part of Urban Birds 2025 this year!
On May 10, 2025 from 12pm- 4pm, International Bird Rescue’s Los Angeles Wildlife Center will join forces with nearby Angels Gate Cultural Center and Synchromy Music to celebrate Urban Birds 2025. This unique festival welcomes families, art lovers, and conservation enthusiasts to explore the connections between wildlife, creativity, and science. With both venues located side by side, visitors can park once and explore both experiences at their own pace.
At our Los Angeles Wildlife Center, guests will experience Bird Rescue’s annual Open House format, learning about our work saving the birds we love. See our facility, meet our dedicated team, and learn about our work as global leaders in emergency rescue and response. Catch a glimpse of birds in care, learn from education stations and informative talks, and connect with community partners. Meanwhile, at Angels Gate Cultural Center, the festival will take an artistic turn, featuring live performances, music, and hands-on arts activities designed to explore the Center through a processing performance. An immersive, multi-act work explores humanity’s relationship with birds, petroleum, and ecological crisis through art, music, and movement. The event will feature dynamic compositions and performances inspired by the natural world, offering a truly interdisciplinary experience that will resonate with both art enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
