We’re excited to announce that the Yes We Peli-CAN! 5K Walk/Run is officially underway, with 88 participants spanning 11 states and two countries! People of all ages and abilities have joined forces to raise funds and awareness for injured, oiled, and orphaned birds in rehab, helping them get a second chance in the wild. With the generous support from our sponsors, Chevron, Valero Energy, Port of Long Beach, and California Resources Corporation, participants have already raised an impressive $39,031!
To celebrate the 20 participating teams, our Graphic Design and Social Media Intern, Mackenzie Salstrom, has created some lively and entertaining graphics representing each new team. Participants will be completing their 5K until September 8, and there’s still plenty of work to do to reach our $45,000 goal.
