To those of you who have already shared your generosity, we are incredibly grateful.
This year, our wildlife clinics treated an astounding 3,187 patients, including a surge of 425 starving and injured Brown Pelicans that starting arriving in mid-April. Staff and volunteers worked tirelessly to provide them with much-needed care, while the community rallied in an outpouring of support, funding much-needed supplies to ensure their recovery. Thanks to your generosity, these pelicans are now flying free. Watch their heartwarming journey back to the wild in this special video, and know that you played a key role in their release.
To track their progress, every pelican that was released was outfitted with a blue band. We are proud to report that 96 of these recovered pelicans have been re-sighted, thriving in the wild and proving just how resilient these magnificent birds truly are.
