Hailey Winslow, an actress, FOX Los Angeles reporter, and adventure travel television host, has been chosen for this year’s keynote speaker for the Taking Flight Awards Ceremony and Fundraiser, which will take place on the evening of June 14 in Berkeley, CA.

On Saturday, May 13, 2023 join International Bird Rescue, in partnership with the Pacific Flyway Center, to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day and Bird Rescue’s Open House at the Cordelia Slough.

More than 160 individuals from 13 countries, representing 60 wildlife organizations, state agencies, universities, and oil industry groups, attended the 14th Effects of Oil on Wildlife (EOW) 2022 Conference.

International Bird Rescue is pleased to co-host, along with Brazil-based Aiuká, this week’s 14th Effects of Oil on Wildlife (EOW) Conference in Long Beach, CA.

Please save the date for International Bird Rescue’s Seabird Masquerade on Thursday evening, September 29, 2022 in Long Beach, CA. Beach cocktail attire is suggested. A selection of masks will be available for attendees.

Together, this year’s awardees help tell the story of two major wildlife crises in 2021 – the Nesting Seabird Rescue in Long Beach Harbor, and the Huntington Beach Pipeline Incident.

Artist and muralist, Jane Kim, will be the keynote speaker and will complete an original painting live on stage at our upcoming Taking Flight benefit and awards ceremony in Berkeley, CA on May 3, 2022.
