We are thrilled to share that Bird Rescue was featured in a Community Spotlight during the July 27th San Francisco Giants baseball game against the Colorado Rockies. This special opportunity allowed us to raise awareness about the vital work we do for waterbirds and the ongoing 2024 Brown Pelican crisis.
The spotlight included staffing an outreach table for fans and also presenting a 30 second informational video during a break in the game during the third inning. You can watch the spotlight on YouTube.
The partnership grew out of an X (formerly Twitter) #RallyPelican post urging fans to support the care and feeding of starving Brown Pelicans. The tweet had almost 30,000 impressions and led to support from Giants fans.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Giants for being a voice for birds and supporting our mission.
