March 25-31: Shop Deals on Designs by David Sheirer
For the fourth and final week of Merch Madness, we’re featuring stunning Western Grebe and Common Murre designs by the talented artist David Scheirer – now available at a discounted price. Browse the variety of items on Threadless.
David, the artist behind Studio Tuesday, has a simplified style that perfectly captures the essence of birds and other wildlife in their natural habitats.
Since February, over 80 oiled birds have come into care at Bird Rescue’s wildlife centers. Most of them were contaminated with oil from natural seep following winter storms. Several of the grebes and murres affected by the stormy season are still receiving treatment for the burns caused by the oil. Every purchase you make contributes to their care as well as other waterbirds in need.
March 18-24: Shop the Exclusive Western Grebe Collection
Whether you’re a bird enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply appreciate stunning artwork, the Western Grebe collection has something for everyone – including tees, sweatshirts, blankets, notebooks, and more!
The variety of artwork may look familiar to you from the contest that was held to select the next design for our 49th anniversary tees. We adored them so much, we had to bring them back! Explore the collection now and let the Western Grebe charm you this week.

Wesley and Kelly Beavers, who have been married for 40 years, embody the true spirit of advocacy as they lend their voices to birds, volunteering every week at Bird Rescue’s Los Angeles Wildlife Center.
“Our efforts to rescue and rehabilitate wildlife is the needed assistance to help them recover from injuries or damage that is often a result of human contact,” Wesley said. “Returning these patients back into the environment helps make our ecosystem a bit stronger, and sets an example for others to follow.”
