Daniel brings more than 15 years of experience in conservation education, nonprofit leadership, and community engagement. At International Bird Rescue, he leads conservation, outreach, and education initiatives, helping connect communities with Bird Rescue’s mission through strategic communications, partnerships, and public engagement.
Prior to joining Bird Rescue, Daniel held roles at Oakland Zoo in both education and marketing, where he developed school programs, built community partnerships, and expanded public engagement efforts.
Throughout his career, Daniel has focused on creating meaningful experiences that inspire people to connect with wildlife and the natural world. He holds a B.A. in Human Development with a minor in Anthropology from California State University, Long Beach. He is a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association for Interpretation, TEFL-certified, and a former member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Marketing Committee.
