Dan Vega is a former East Coaster who graduated from University of Maryland with a BS in Kinesiology. Before starting at Bird Rescue, he was a naturalist educator at an outdoor science school where he taught fifth and sixth graders about the ecosystems of the San Gabriel Mountains.
He is the son of a contractor and lover of nature and brings both identities together as facilities and safety coordinator at the Los Angeles Wildlife Center.
