Emily Werdal graduated in 2020 from Cornell University with a Bachelors in Animal Science and minors in Biological Sciences and Environmental Sciences and Sustainability. She has done extensive work during her college years within veterinary parasitology as well as raising and training service dogs for the visually impaired.
Born and raised in New Jersey, she has experience in wildlife rehabilitation coast to coast and with varying species. First starting at Bird Rescue as a volunteer, she joined the staff in February 2023 and has enjoyed every moment learning the in-depth care of aquatic and waterbirds.
