Julie Skoglund is the Senior Director of Operations & Programs at International Bird Rescue, a hands-on wildlife rehabilitation specialist with a deep background in emergency response, operations, and science. A USGS Permitted Master Bander, she has directed more than 40 oil spill and wildlife crises and contributes to the field beyond Bird Rescue through her roles as Treasurer of the Pacific Seabird Group and Secretary of the CalTIP Rewards Commission. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of rehabilitators and believes wildlife rehabilitation deserves the scientific rigor and professional respect it is earning — and she has spent her career helping make that case.
