Lisbeth Montenegro, RVT

Program Support Associate & Senior Wildlife Rehabilitation Technician I, SoCal

Favorite bird: Northern Fulmar: calm looking on the outside, stress case on the inside

Hobbies: Reading, camping, playing board games

Lisbeth Montenegro has a Bachelor’s in Biology from University of California San Diego, and an AS in Registered Veterinary Technology from Mt. San Antonio College. She has a wide range of experience in various spills and emergency events including the 2020 Valdez Marine Terminal Spill in Alaska, 2021 Long Beach Elegant Tern event, the 2021 Huntington Beach Oil Spill, 2022 Repsol La Pampilla Peru Oil Spill, and the 2023 Tulare Botulism event.

Lisbeth started at Bird Rescue as a volunteer. Before joining the staff, she was a legal assistant for six years.
