With Thanksgiving around the corner, I want to take a moment of gratitude to reflect on one of 2024’s most incredible success stories made possible by compassionate supporters like you.
You might remember Blue, the Brown Pelican who came to International Bird Rescue after a horrific pouch slashing that required two surgeries and over 500 stitches to repair. Despite this unimaginable cruelty, Blue demonstrated extraordinary resilience. After 45 days of care, she recovered from her injuries and earned her second chance at life in the wild. Blue’s story is a testament to the life-saving work we do every day at Bird Rescue – and it’s only possible with your help.
